Disclosure-first by design
Every tracked Deky link shows recipients a clear notice on first open: "The sender can see when and how you view this." No silent tracking, ever.
01What recipients see
On first open of any tracked link, recipients get a one-time disclosure banner naming the sender and explaining that views are tracked. Senders can't disable this notice — only switch to anonymous mode (below).

Deky uses only essential cookies — a session cookie for the app (via Clerk) and a per-link identifier on the viewer so we can attribute engagement to the right recipient. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
04Anonymous mode
Senders can set a link to anonymous — it then collects only aggregate counts with no per-recipient attribution, no IP, and no device data. The disclosure banner reflects this.
05Opting out
Recipients who don't want to be tracked can decline at the disclosure banner, or request deletion of their data via privacy@deky.app.
